CALENDAR LOGIC:

The application calculates statutory holiday entitlement based on the user's employment type. The logic adjusts depending on whether the employee is Full-Time, Part-Time, or works Irregular Hours:

  1. Full-Time Employees

    • Entitlement: Always 28 days per year (based on working 5 days a week × 5.6 weeks).

    • No input required.

  2. Part-Time Employees

    • User Input: Number of days worked per week.

    • Calculation:

      Entitlement=Days per week×5.6\text{Entitlement} = \text{Days per week} \times 5.6Entitlement=Days per week×5.6

    • Example: If someone works 3 days a week:

      3×5.6=16.8 days per year3 \times 5.6 = 16.8 \text{ days per year}3×5.6=16.8 days per year

  3. Irregular Hours Workers

    • User Input: Total hours worked.

    • Calculation:

      Entitlement=Hours worked×0.1207\text{Entitlement} = \text{Hours worked} \times 0.1207Entitlement=Hours worked×0.1207

      (i.e. 12.07% of hours worked)

    • Example: If someone worked 100 hours:

      100×0.1207=12.07 hours of leave100 \times 0.1207 = 12.07 \text{ hours of leave}100×0.1207=12.07 hours of leave
